It won’t start
Let us know whether the thermostat display is working, whether you hear the furnace attempt to start, and whether this is the first time you’ve used the heat this season.
You’ve turned up the thermostat, but the house still isn’t warming up. Maybe the furnace won’t start, the air feels cold, or it keeps stopping before the rooms become comfortable.
Frosty Desert provides furnace repair in Las Vegas and nearby communities. Tell us what has changed, and we’ll help you arrange a service visit.

Let us know whether the thermostat display is working, whether you hear the furnace attempt to start, and whether this is the first time you’ve used the heat this season.
Note whether the air eventually warms up or stays cool, and whether the thermostat is set to Heat. That distinction helps describe the problem without guessing which part has failed.
Tell us how long it runs and whether the house reaches the set temperature. Avoid repeatedly resetting the equipment to make it continue running.
A cold bedroom in a Spring Valley home or a chilly office in Henderson does not, by itself, establish that the furnace is broken. Note whether airflow is weaker in those rooms and whether the problem is new.
Describe the noise and when it happens: at startup, while running or after shutdown. A recording taken from a safe, accessible location may help you explain it. Do not remove covers or approach moving parts to capture one.
Only continue if there is no suspected gas leak or other immediate hazard.
Leave burners, gas valves, wiring and internal components to a qualified technician. Don’t climb into an attic or onto a roof to investigate a heating problem. If these checks don’t explain the issue, book a repair visit rather than continuing to reset or dismantle the system.
Your furnace may spend months without a heating call before you discover a problem. Tell us whether it worked normally last season, whether the thermostat was recently changed, and whether the trouble began immediately or developed gradually.
Valley weather can change how noticeable a comfort problem becomes. Rather than guessing from the outdoor temperature alone, note the indoor temperature, the thermostat setting and which rooms are affected. Dust is another reason to check airflow, but it should not become a catch-all explanation. A technician still needs to establish what is happening with your equipment.

When booking, explain whether you have no heat, partial heat or unusual operation. Provide equipment information if it is already available—there is no need to access an unsafe location to find it.
The visit should establish the cause of the problem and any related concerns, rather than replace parts based solely on symptoms described online.
Ask what the proposed repair addresses, what the price includes and whether any additional work is optional. If replacement is being discussed, ask why and how the alternatives compare.
If you’re facing repeated repairs or the diagnosis raises a larger concern, it may be useful to compare repair and replacement. That conversation should include the existing equipment’s condition and whether the proposed work is likely to resolve your comfort problem. You don’t need to decide on a new furnace simply because you’ve booked a repair.

Tell us what’s happening so your service request starts with the right information.
