Heating or cooling not right?

Heat Pump Repair in Las Vegas

When your heat pump stops keeping up, it doesn’t matter whether it’s July or January—your home gets uncomfortable fast. Because the same system heats and cools, problems can show up in either mode.

Our technicians diagnose first, explain what they find and give you the repair price before work starts.

Sound familiar?

Warm air in cooling mode

The system runs, but the air from the vents isn’t cool and the house keeps getting warmer.

Cool air in heating mode

It’s a cold night and the vents are blowing air that feels lukewarm or chilly for long stretches.

It runs and runs

The system barely shuts off, or it can’t reach the temperature you set in either season.

Ice that won’t clear

Some frost in winter can be normal, and heat pumps defrost themselves. Ice that builds up and stays is not.

New noises or it won’t start

Grinding, rattling, loud buzzing, or a system that doesn’t respond to the thermostat at all.

Before you call

A few safe checks

Only check what you can reach safely. Don’t open the equipment panels, handle refrigerant, chip or melt ice, or keep resetting a breaker that trips.

If ice keeps building on the outdoor unit and doesn’t clear, turn the system off at the thermostat if it’s safe to do so and call for service.

  • Thermostat mode. Make sure it’s set to heat or cool as intended and the setpoint is above or below the room temperature.
  • Thermostat display. If the screen is blank or shows a message, note what it says. Replace batteries if your thermostat uses them.
  • Filter. If the filter is easy to reach, look at it. Replace a dirty one following the manufacturer’s directions.

Helpful details to share when you book

Is the problem in heating, cooling or both? When did it start, and did anything change—a storm, a power outage, a new thermostat?

Is the outdoor unit running? Do you hear anything unusual, or see ice that won’t go away? Any messages on the thermostat? These details help the technician arrive prepared.
