It isn’t heating or cooling right
Warm air in cooling mode, cool air in heating mode, odd noises, or a system that won’t keep up.
A heat pump moves heat instead of making it. In summer it pulls heat out of your home like an air conditioner. On a chilly desert night it runs the other way and brings heat in. That means the same system may be working hard in July and again in January.
Frosty Desert helps homeowners in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and nearby communities install, replace, repair and maintain heat pumps. Tell us what your system is doing—or not doing—and we’ll help you find the right next step.
Pick the situation that sounds most like yours. If you’re not sure, book a visit and describe what’s happening.

Your heat pump runs most of the year here. Regular care gives a technician a chance to spot wear early.
Repeat repairs, an aging system or comfort that never felt right can make replacement worth discussing.
New space, a different heating setup, or a first heat pump in a home that had something else.

A ducted heat pump works with the ductwork and vents your home may already have. Conditioned air travels through the ducts to each room, much like a central air conditioner and furnace.
A ductless mini-split delivers cooling and, on heating-capable models, heat to indoor units mounted in individual rooms or zones instead of through ducts. A heating-capable mini-split is a heat pump, while some mini-splits cool only, so which model you’re looking at matters. Ductless units can suit additions, converted garages or homes without usable ducts.
The right fit depends on your home’s layout, the condition of any existing ducts and which rooms you need to keep comfortable. We’ll look at what you have before suggesting either approach.
Outdoor units for central air conditioners and heat pumps can look nearly identical from the yard. The model number on the unit’s label, your equipment paperwork or a technician can tell you which one you have.

Long, hot summers mean your heat pump may run in cooling mode for months. Then winter nights can drop near freezing, and the same system switches to heating. That year-round workload is different from a furnace that sits idle half the year.
Dust and blowing sand can collect on outdoor equipment and in filters, and a home where upstairs bedrooms stay warmer than the living room is a common complaint. Those comfort issues are worth mentioning when you book.
Describe what your heat pump is doing and when it started. Book a visit online, or call and talk it through.
